Michael Frieze
Chairman Emeritus
Michael Frieze is Chairman Emeritus of the board of directors at Gordon Brothers. Previously, Michael was Chairman and Chief Investment Officer and the firm’s Chief Executive Officer for more than 30 years.
During his nearly 60-year tenure, Gordon Brothers expanded its services from retail liquidation to a full-service provider of strategic business and capital solutions to offer valuations, dispositions, financing and investment services globally across multiple sectors.
Michael has a Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College and a Master of Business Administration from MIT Sloan School of Management. He exemplifies Gordon Brothers’ commitment to community service by having served in top leadership positions on many community and corporate boards, including Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston and as Chair of the New England Region of the American Technion Society. Michael is a trustee of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Boston Children’s Hospital and chairman emeritus of Friends of Yemin Orde. He is a former board member of Brandeis University.
