Álvaro Cobo is Managing Director, Client Coverage & Origination, EMEA at Gordon Brothers. Álvaro leads the client coverage and origination team in EMEA, driving the go-to market strategy to increase client engagement and accelerate growth in the region.

Álvaro has over 20 years’ experience in restructuring, private equity and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Gordon Brothers, he was a partner at Amura Management Partners, a leading Spanish advisory and interim management firm focused on special situations and restructuring. Previously, Álvaro was a partner at Atlas Capital, a private equity fund investing in leveraged buyout and growth capital deals, where he led several investments in mid-size companies.

Álvaro has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Navarra and a Master of Business Administration from IESE Business School. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
