COVID-19: Asset Value Guidance and Appraisal Engagement

COVID-19: Valuation Teams Resume On-Site Inspections and Store Visits

Announcement

Date June 11, 2020

To our valued clients and partners,

We hope you and your families remain healthy and safe. We have spoken to so many of you over the past few weeks as you have worked to best navigate the pandemic crisis with your clients.

As we step forward to a new normal as a company and a community, we would like to take this opportunity to let you know that Gordon Brothers’ valuation team is ready to help you move forward through the next important phase - reopening.

In keeping with all state and local guidelines for the safety and well-being of our teams and our clients, we have resumed on-site inspections and store visits effective June 1, 2020.

Here are some of the ways that we are adapting to effectively manage this process:

  • On-site safety and readiness: We have taken steps to safeguard the health and safety of our employees while they are inspecting assets on-site or visiting retail stores. Additionally, our comprehensive remote platform remains in place, and all of Gordon Brothers’ valuation professionals are available to advise you locally and globally.
  • Engagement and inspection capabilities: We are always available to discuss new appraisal engagements and collateral re-appraisals.  Given ongoing social distancing recommendations and jurisdictional travel mandates, we have tailored our inspection protocols to allow our appraisers to complete on site visits wherever possible. In lieu of an on-site visit, we have implemented tools including a video-conferencing platform that is available as requested or required.
  • Advice and perspective: We are also available to provide advice and support for additional services including property tax assessment and brand and business valuations to explore and expand on financing and liquidity options for your clients.

Gordon Brothers is grateful to be part of a community that has rallied together to help support one another through this crisis. We look forward to working together to implement protocols that keep our personnel and yours safe as we re-enter in-person visits and inspections.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us or your regional business contact with questions or to seek perspective on how best to move forward with new or portfolio valuations. As always, our team is ready to help in any way we can, whenever you need us.
