In partnership with a lender, Gordon Brothers entered into a $31.2 million term loan financing transaction with SkyWater Technology Foundry, Inc. for the purchase of Cypress Semiconductor Corp.’s Bloomington, Minnesota, semiconductor wafer fabrication facility, Cypress Semiconductor (Minnesota) Inc. The loan was secured by real estate and equipment.

SkyWater is a US-based technology foundry that manages the development and manufacturing of a variety of novel technologies and semiconductor-based solutions for a diverse range of applications. SkyWater is also automotive qualified, competitive with Asian foundries of similar size and technology mix, and is capable of high-volume manufacturing.

Gordon Brothers continues to work with SkyWater to provide flexible solutions to address the needs of the business.
