James is recognized as a leader in this field and has served over 150 clients both in and out of bankruptcy. James continues his longstanding real estate relationships with companies such as 99 Cents Only, Big Lots, Burger King, Captain D’s, Golfsmith, Krispy Kreme, Kohl’s, Office Depot, Sears, Totes, Toys R Us, Walgreens, Zellers and other distinguished Fortune 500 companies. Key bankruptcy filings on which James has worked include American Apparel, Avado Brands, Blockbuster Video, Bombay Company, Borders Books, Fresh & Easy, Circuit City, FAO Schwarz, Goody’s Family Clothing, HomePlace of America, Kmart, Lacks Furniture, Linens N Things, Radio Shack, Tower Records and Winn-Dixie Stores. Prior to joining the firm, James worked as an internal account analyst on Wall Street for a major stock brokerage company and also owned a wholesale/retail sporting goods and accessories business.
