Robert Nichols is Managing Director, Diligence Services at Gordon Brothers. Robert oversees the planning, scoping and performance of all survey, field examination and quality of earnings engagements for the firm’s clients in addition to managing client relationships.

He has over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry with deep expertise in field examinations, credit risk, underwriting and portfolio management.

Robert was previously a managing director at Durkin Group, a leading professional services firm that provided credit risk support for the secured finance industry acquired by Gordon Brothers. Prior to joining Durkin Group, he managed the national audit and risk management functions for IBJ Whitehall Financial Group and PNC Bank. Robert was previously an adjunct associate professor of accounting and finance at New York University and Ramapo College.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and Master of Business Administration in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Robert is an inactive Certified Public Accountant. He is based in New York.
