Hideaki Horiuchi is an originator of asset disposition, finance, and appraisal opportunities, utilizing his wide network of bankers, financial advisors, consultants, and lawyers. Prior to joining Gordon Brothers Japan in 2015, he was a member of the GE Capital Japan team responsible for establishing a domestic asset-based lending (ABL) platform. During this eight year period, he took the lead in expanding ABL in Japan. Prior to his position at GE Capital Japan, he worked for SMBC as Joint General Manager in charge of private equity fund investment in Tokyo. He also spent 15 years in New York and ran the Workout Department, starting DIP Finance/Exit Finance, ABL, and mezzanine fund investments. He has vast experience with Chapter 11 proceedings, out of court restructuring, and disposition of nonperforming loans. He is the author of “Stake Holder,” a business novel which won an M&A Forum Award. Hideaki received a BA in economics from Kyoto University.
