Investment Director, Brands
David Rich is Investment Director, Brands at Gordon Brothers. David works within the Brands team to identify new opportunities for growth, execute strategic investment initiatives and drive both short- and long-term profitability for the firm. He develops and nurtures client and partner relationships across the lending, private equity, investment banking, brokering and restructuring industries.
David has nearly 20 years of experience originating, structuring and executing equity and debt capital solutions across Asia and the U.S.
Prior to joining Gordon Brothers, David was Vice President and Product Head Asia-Pacific for the Depositary Receipts business within Issuer Services at Citi in Hong Kong where he focused on complex financial offerings and structuring global equity and credit products. In this role, David advised Asian corporations looking to list in the U.S. and Asian governments seeking access to international bond markets, including Alibaba’s U.S. initial public offering via American Depositary Receipts on the New York Stock Exchange.
He began his career at Deutsche Bank Equity Capital Markets on the Convertibles Origination and Execution team in New York before moving to Asia where he worked within investment banking and equity and debt capital markets teams at Bank of America, Standard Chartered Bank and Citi in Singapore and Hong Kong.
David has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance and a minor in English from Georgetown University. David is based in Boston where he has family roots.
