Brendan Smyth is Senior Director, Valuations at Gordon Brothers. Brendan oversees comprehensive asset valuation solutions across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia and leads the team responsible for valuations throughout the regions. He works with clients including asset-based lenders, private equity firms, corporate management teams, investment funds and professional advisors.

Brendan has 20 years of asset valuation experience with extensive knowledge across both industrial and retail sectors.

He has deep expertise across listed companies, small and medium enterprises, major original equipment manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers. He has extensive knowledge across various industry sectors, including automotive, aerospace, metals and other commodities, mining, timber, paper, chemicals, military, electronics, apparel, packaging, construction, agricultural, pharmaceuticals, transport, food and beverage and consumer goods.

Prior to joining Gordon Brothers, Brendan worked at Hilco Global, initially in the U.K. before establishing and growing Hilco’s valuations business in Sydney. Before entering the valuation industry, he worked as a buyer for an Australian national retailer.

Brendan is a Certified Senior Appraiser and a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) South Australia committee.
