With more than 15 years of experience in the industry, Scott is an expert in the field of valuing machinery and equipment. During his career, he has managed more than 250 appraisal engagements across a wide variety of manufacturing industries including beverages, chemicals, electronics, metalworking, food processing, paper, plastics, primary metal, textiles, transportation equipment and wood products among many others. He also developed the firm's template for valuing banks' fixed assets.
Prior to joining Gordon Brothers, Scott was a senior manager in AccuVal-LiquiTec’s Machinery & Equipment Valuation practice, which was acquired by Gordon Brothers in 2015. He has also worked as a regional manager for a large governmental consulting firm and worked with cities, counties, school districts and water and sewerage authorities in the historical valuation of fixed assets for governmental compliance.
Scott is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers and has completed the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) coursework. He has also testified as an expert witness in the United States Bankruptcy Court System. Scott earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate from the University of Mississippi in Oxford and studied business administration at Itawamba Community College in Fulton.
