Leonard R. Polivy
Leonard Polivy brings over 30 years of hands-on experience in the Diamond and Jewelry business to Gordon Brothers where he works on a variety of retail dispositions and appraisal projects. He was instrumental in one of Gordon Brothers' largest jewelry disposition sales, which included six different name plates across 27 states. Leonard began his jewelry career with Gordon Brothers in the mid-1980s and went on to become the president and owner of an Internaional wholesale diamond company, and appraisal firm. In addition, Leonard has supervised the inventory verification and authentication process for over many national and international jewelry wholesalers and retailers. He also held other management positions within the jewelry sector before returning to Gordon Brothers in 2009. Leonard is a member of the Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT), American Gemological Society (AGS) and Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) and is also an associate member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). He attended the University of Miami where he studied business administration and The General Motors Institute for executive management. Leonard was featured as an appraiser on PBS's "What's It Really Worth" antiques discovery show.
