Fran Glushakow has over 25 years’ experience as a real estate lawyer specializing in broad-based commercial real estate. She currently acts as sole practitioner of her own firm and aims to resolve legal issues in a timely manner while creatively finding solutions and leading constructive negotiations involving ground, office and retail leasing; acquisition and disposition of real estate; and real estate-backed financing.
Fran previously served as sole outside real estate counsel to Loews Theatres, preparing and negotiating ground leases and related cross-easement. Fran negotiated and documented leases and related documents for 18 regional malls for General Growth Properties, including the leasing for a $100 million+ shopping mall expansion that comprised over 15 leases. She has also handled lease negotiations for cities and represented major lenders and borrowers in real estate-backed loan agreements. Fran began her real estate career at the law firm of Ballard Spahr LLP.
Fran received her Bachelor of Arts in Modern Jewish Philosophy, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.
