Store Closing Sales Begin at Select Bon-Ton Store Locations

Deep discounts will be offered at all 42 retail locations being closed.

The Bon-Ton Stores began store closing sales on February 1 at 42 select locations as part of the Company’s recently announced store rationalization program and Chapter 11 Bankruptcy filing on February 6, 2018.  Locations include both Bon-Ton stores and other branded nameplates, including Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberger’s, and Younkers, which are owned and operated by The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. (OTCQX:BONT).  More stores are expected to be added to the store closing process.

Shoppers will find significant price reductions of at least 30% - 50% off the lowest ticketed prices on brand name apparel, shoes, accessories and jewelry for women, men, juniors and children. Consumers will be able to take advantage of the tremendous savings on a full selection of merchandise in a wide range of styles and sizes.  The sale will also feature great deals across all other departments including fashion, fragrances, home goods, household items, small kitchen appliances, bed and bath products, furniture and more.  Famous designer brand labels in all departments will be on sale.

The store closing sales are being conducted by a joint venture consisting of Gordon Brothers and Hilco Merchant Resources. A spokesperson for the joint venture said, “These stores are well known in their markets for offering outstanding merchandise and retail experiences to their customers.  Given the compelling discounts and the highly desirable merchandise, we expect this will be a short sale. Consumers are encouraged to shop early for the best selection.”
