“We are thrilled that Mackenzie has joined Gordon Brothers,” said Michael Chartock, Gordon Brothers General Counsel. “Her extensive experience across all sectors, specifically retail and energy, coupled with her ability to quickly understand and provide counsel on complex transactional matters, is a great benefit to our company and to our clients.”

“I’m excited to be part of the Gordon Brothers team,” said Ms. Shea. “I have devoted my entire career to counseling clients through change and challenge, so it is especially rewarding to be working with a company that is well-respected for its ability to provide rapid solutions and reliable outcomes to businesses in times of need.”

Ms. Shea is the recipient of numerous accolades. She has been selected multiple times by Chambers USA and Best Lawyers in America for her work in bankruptcy and restructuring. In 2012, she had the distinction of being named one of the 40 up-and-coming bankruptcy lawyers in the country by the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges. Ms. Shea has also been recognized as a “Rising Star” six times by New England Super Lawyers.

Prior to joining Gordon Brothers in October 2016, Ms. Shea was a partner at the global law firm of K&L Gates LLP. She began her career as a law clerk to the Honorable Joel Rosenthal of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Ms. Shea received her bachelor’s degree from Assumption College and her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.
